From a question to a lesson you can remember
Nodebook is not a chat thread with extra buttons. It is a learning loop: build a clear lesson, retrieve the important ideas, then refresh them when they start to fade.
The learning loop
Prove
Pause at an important concept and explain it from memory. Reveal the ideal answer, then rate your recall honestly.
Refresh
Only the concepts that need attention return. A short review strengthens the weak point without making you repeat the whole lesson.
The sequence matters. Reading can create familiarity, but familiarity is not the same as being able to explain an idea without looking. Nodebook makes that gap visible without turning every screen into a test.
What happens when you enter a topic
Nodebook first checks what the phrase is most likely to mean. This topic-intent step prevents ambiguous acronyms and short queries from silently becoming the wrong lesson. You can confirm the interpretation before spending credits.
Clear scope
A lesson has a defined subject, audience, depth, and goal instead of drifting across adjacent ideas.
Source grounding
Claims are built from cited material so you can inspect where an explanation came from.
Concept structure
The lesson is divided into ideas that can be understood, recalled, and revisited independently.
Useful practice
Questions are attached to the concepts they test and kept short enough to answer without decoding the prompt.
What is remembered, and what stays quiet
Each important concept can have its own review schedule. When you rate a recall attempt as Got it, Almost, or Missed, Nodebook updates that concept’s next review. It does not need to show you a memory score everywhere.
The detailed view lives in Brain and Forgetting Radar. Home shows one useful review action when something is ready. A stable memory state is usually silent.
Where audio fits
A lesson can become a chaptered, narrated version with read-along text and saved progress. Standard listening is uninterrupted. Audio Recall is optional for moments when you want the narrator to pause and let you answer before continuing.
Generated audio is cached by lesson and voice. If the matching audiobook already exists, listening again does not cost generation credits.
